Singapore Alive

The Singapore Alive workshop cards explore 75 urban issues facing Singapore in the future.

By 2040, over 30% of Singapore’s population will be aged over 65, increasing pressure on infrastructure. At the same time, investment in technology, such as Artificial Intelligence, could double Singapore’s economy in 13 years. Meanwhile, Singapore had pledged to reduce emissions intensity by 36% by 2030. From technical developments to a shift in demographics, the cards examine emerging issues and their impact on Singapore.

The Singapore Alive cards are designed to help stakeholders at all levels – citizens, planners and officials – to prioritise and explore issues that will shape the future of Singapore. As an engagement tool, the cards help initiate conversations, improve understanding and facilitate decision-making.

The 75 cards are organised according to the STEEP framework: Social, Technological, Economic, Environmental or Political. Each card examines an urban issue with a title, a short description and an illustration.
